Salaamaleykum wrbt. (0) comments![]() ![]() Tomorrow, 1st May, marks the Labour Day (in most parts of the world). Its the day to appreciate the hardwork of the blue collar workers. They are often the men behind the cutain of a successful nation. Take Dubai for example, its literally packed with construction workers from South Asia. But they never get the credit. Instead, they get a pay of aprox. USD4/day (according to a source i read few weeks back). Malaysia- prides itself with the once-world tallest building, the Petronas twin towers. The credit goes to the politicians and the 'citizens of malaysia that made it possible'. But who were the real power behind the building of that mega building, doubtlessly Indonesian and Bangladeshi workers. The built the buidling for a minimal pay of approx. USD150(which is way below the National Poverty line of USD250). Never did the government thanked the workers.Instead, everytime a disease outbreak occurs, the Indonesian and Bangladeshi workers are the first to get blamed. A common qoute from the ministers will be "Its the foreign workers that bring unhealthy diseases like Tb and AIDS into a clean country like ours".Well, politicians will always be politicians. Today, we see how in US the government is trying to criminalise illegal immigrant...who are obviously the builders of their high-rise buildings. If those immigrants are sent back, i doubt that the local people can take up their role in construction field. This treatment of labourers must stop. The politicians realise this too well, but they are too obssessed about being politically correct.Time for a change.

If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you But make allowance for their doubting too, If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream--and not make dreams your master,
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,

Salaamaleykum... (1) commentsMost of us Muslims have seen the miraculous shahadah written on a tree...but...most oftend overlook at the story behind the picture.I bumped into the story today... ![]() ![]() ![]()
"La Ilaha Illa Allah, Muhammadun Rasul Allah" "This image shows a side of one of the Farms in a Gemany Wood, where the tree branches, in a wonderful style shows (In Arabic) oness word, "THERE IS NO GOD EXCEPT ALLAH, AND MUHAMMAD IS THE MESSENGER OF ALLAH," in an image that makes the hearts beat with belief in ALLAH the creator of this universe who is able to do anything He wants. Consequently, this picture shows that "Islam" is the great innate religion. As soon as the German people saw this image many of them converted to this nature religion. Infront of this great incident, the spiteful German Government surrounded that part of the farm and prevented the people form visiting it, since the government was worried that by seeing this farm, people will be fascinated after the clear presence of, "THERE IS NO GOD EXCEPT ALLAH, AND MUHAMMAD IS THE MESSENGER OF ALLAH." (In Arabic)." "Their intention is to extinguish Allah's light (by blowing) with their mouths. But Allah will complete His Light, even though the Unbelievers may detest (it)." (Al Qur'an 61:8)

Salaamaleykum (0) commentsThis is a beautiful poem was written by a Pakistani poet,Muhammad Iqbal during the time of British Occupation. Its written in Urdu by the way.Enjoy... ايک پہا ڑ اور گلہري
کوئي
پہاڑ يہ کہتا تھا اک گلہري سے
Aik Pehri aur Aik Gulehri A mountain was saying this to a squirrel(A Mountain and A Squirrel) "Commit suicide if you have self-respect You are insignificant, still so arrogant, how strange! You are neither wise, nor intelligent! not even shrewd! It is strange when the insignificant pose as important! When the stupid ones like you pose as intelligent! You are no match in comparison with my splendor Even the earth is low compared with my splendor The grandeur of mine does not fall to your lot The poor animal cannot equal the great mountain!" On hearing this the squirrel said, "Hold your tongue! These are immature thoughts, expel them from your heart! I do not care if I am not large like you! You are not a pretty little thing like me Everything shows the Omni-potence of God Some large, some small, is the wisdom of God He has created you large in the world And He has taught me climbing large trees You are unable to walk a single step Only large size! What other greatness have you? If you are large show me some of the skills I have Show me how you break this beetle nut as I can Nothing is useless in this world Nothing is bad in God's creation

salaamaleykum... (2) commentsDont judge a book by its cover, thats what we're always thought through out life. But, when it comes to looks...we cant help but to judge a person base on the way he looks.Especially judging their race. Someone dark, big forehead curly hair will automatically become an African. Fair skin, dark think eyebrow tall- middle eastern. ..well..so on and so forth... But in this globalised world we live in today..its kind of a mission impossible to guess a person's race by his/her appearance. Its a known fact, even in conservative communities like Arab and Pakistan, mix-marriage is flourishing day after day. Take me for example, I've been mistaken for everything from an Arab to a South Indian. Perhaps the most weirdest mistake anyone had ever made based on my appearence is the one my best friend made. I showed him the picture of myself from 13yrs ago.. he commented 'Lol! thats not you!Thats some Korean kid'. Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay....its either i need to restudy my roots.....or the friend of mine needs a new pair of spectacles.

Assalamualeykum wrbt, (3) commentsAfter months of getting into the arab community...and also some other communities that uses non-Latin alphabeths, I came to a conclusion that by using linguistic analysis, you can actually identify a person almost specificly. What do i mean? for example, take a common greeting السلام عليكم now..when a person transliterate the phrase above, he might write it as...i) assalamualeykum ii)asalamaleykum iii)assalaamaleykum iv)assalaamalaikum v)asalamualaikum vi)assalamualeikum vii)assalamualeykum viii)asalamalaikoom vi) (for the balkans) asalaamalejkum x)(lazy bumps) aslmk the possibilities are endless...just for this simple word of السلام عليكم imagine in a letter even if written in english, there is prone to be a few tranliterated words. if we take the combination of the variations of the transliteration used...we've a very unique pattern in our hand..and it will be unique to each person. and Voila! we have our selves a lingual fingerprint! tell me if this is not the most confusing teory ever!

The flash above is from the Negotiations Affairs Department of Palestine Liberation Organisation. I'm trying to find ways how the general public can fund the PLO, since the friends of the Zionists have halted their aid to the Palestinian people.

Salaamaleykum (4) commentsThis poem was written by Sultan Bahadur Zafar Shah II of the mughul empire..after he was ousted by the British Imperialist army. The Sultan spent his last days in Exile in Burma. see more pictures on Sultan Bahadur here. ![]() Lagta nahin jee mera, ujre dayar mein Kis ki bani hai, aalam-e-napaiydaar mein My heart is not happy in this ruined land Who has ever found fulfillment in this transient world? Bulbul ko paasbaan se na sayyad se gila Qismat mein qaid thi likhi, fasl-e-bahar mein The nightingale has no complaint against the guard or the hunter It was in her fate to remain caged during the spring Keh do in hasraton se kahin aur ja basein Itni jagah kahan hai, dil-e-daaghdaar mein Tell these desires to go settle elsewhere Where is there enough room for them in my wounded heart? Ek shaakh-e-gul pe beith ke bulbul hain shaadmaan Kaante bicha diye hain, dil-e-lalahzaar mein The joyous nightingales sit on a flower covered bough But thorns have been scattered throughout the flower gardens of my heart Umr-e-daraaz maang ke laaye the char din Do aarzu mein kat gaye, do intezar mein I asked for a long life, and was given but four days Two were wasted in desire, two in waiting Din zindegi ke khatam hue, shaam hogayi Phaila ke paaon soyenge, kunj-e-mazar mein
The days of my life come to a close, dusk approaches I shall spread my feet in slumber, in a corner of my tomb Kitna hai badnaseeb zafar, dafan ke liye Do gaz zameen bhi mil na saki, ku-e-yaar mein How ill fated is Zafar, for his burial place He could not find two yards of space, in the lane of his beloved

Salaamaleykum wrbt. (2) commentsIdol(statue) worship, according to Ibn Khatir ... The decendents of Adam a.s. worshiped to One God.Amongst them were pious people, whom people respected dearly. When such religious leaders pass away, the people felt a great lost.So the devil whispered to their ears, to built a statue of the late pious men so that they can always remember them. The people, accepted the devil's suggestion and put up huge statue of the pious leaders. It was innitially meant to remind them about the pious leaders.Then..over time, the 'rejected one' whispered into their mind..."why not make smaller statues and keep them in your house. You can remember them day and night". The people yet againt fell into the Devil's trap...they brought the statues into their house. Slowly over time, the people forgot the purpose of the statues, instead of just as a reminder (as initially intended) , they begin to worship the statues. The children of the generation that made the statues, figured that, the statues must be that of the gods since its so revered. Hence, polytheism begun. May The Lord of the Worlds protect us from misguidance and keep us strong on the Straight Path. <<Home |
