Salaamaleykum. (0) comments![]() Today, 15th May 2008, marks the 60th year since the Catastrophe tragedy occured upon the Palestinians, or rather, Muslims in general. It was the day the illegal Zionist State of Israel was formed by evicting millions of locals (Palestinians) from their ancestral lands. This act, was nonetheless, a crime against humanity and contradicts International Laws. However, until this day, Israel has neither acknowledged nor tried to amend its abuse of basic human rights. Rather, it continues to deny the Palestinians their rights to return home. ![]() Strada Placido stands firm and united with the Palestinians around the world in their demand for justice- their right to return home. Had it been Jews who are being evicted, within days , the country in concern would have been under tremendous pressure from USA UK UN Europe and almost every single nation in the globe, with economic sanctions and military intervention threats. Instead, now with the table turned around, with Zionist Jews being the bad guy, the international community sits and condemns verbally, while conducting business and enriching the illegal state. Whereas the 'peace, freedom and human rights advocate' nation called the Zionist state a "model for democracy". If that is the model of democracy advocated by the US, I'ill pass. ![]() YA ALLAH MADAD!

Pakistan to send two planeloads of relief to Burma (0) commentsMay 12, 2008 (AFP)—Pakistan decided to send two plane loads of emergency aid to Burma for survivors of last week's cyclone, the foreign office said. The relief includes tents, mosquito nets and medicines, it said in a statement. "The aircraft are expected to leave on Sunday," the statement said, without giving further details. Burma was hit by Cyclone Nargis last Saturday, leaving 60,000 people dead or missing and as many as two million more short of food, water and supplies. The military regime has refused to allow in foreign aid experts to direct the relief effort and said that, although it will accept money and aid, it must distribute all supplies itself.THE WORLD HAS OPENED HER HANDS FOR BURMA, NOW, IT JUST LEAVES THE GENERALS TO OPEN THEIRS.
![]() ![]() Myanmar's military regime still refuses foreign aid workers, despite the scale of the disaster and the lack of experience of the Myanmar Army in dealing with such situation. YA ALLAH MADAD!

Salaamaleykum,
As all of you might have read, Cyclone Nargis has hit Burma last weekend and left the Delta region of the country in ruins.
22'300 plus people has been confirmed dead, and estimated 42'000 a re still missing. Hundreds of thousands are left homeless. Basically everyone in the effected regions are struggling with the insane increase of price of commodity and lack of clean water.
The mainly effected area was the rice plantation feilds, hence, the price for rice, the staple food, is expected to increase multifold. Rice depositories had been effected by the cyclone, hence further scarcity is expected.
Its also worth to mention that the areas hit by the cyclone are fishing and farming areas (except Rangoon). They are generally poor and had to struggle to make ends meet, even before the cyclone.
Therefore, I appeal to each and everyone of you to please donate as much as you can for the victims of the disaster. If you can, please donate some money...if it is inconvenient, then please, spare a moment or two of your time to pray for the victims.
To donate-

----- DAMASCUS, March 29 (Reuters) - Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi urged fellow Arab leaders on Saturday to improve ties with non-Arab Iran, saying it was not in their interest to antagonise the Islamic republic. "You have no escape from Iran. It is a neighbour and Muslim brother and it is not in your interest to be its enemy. We have no interest at all in turning Iran against us," Gaddafi told an Arab summit meeting in Damascus. A strengthening alliance between host Syria and Iran have deepened divisions in the run up to the summit, which is being attended by Iran's foreign minister but shunned by pro-U.S. Arab leaders, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan. Tensions have also heightened in the region over Iran's nuclear row with the West and Tehran's alleged interference in Iraq and its backing of Lebanon's Shi'ite Hezbollah group in its standoff with the pro-Western Lebanese government. Gaddafi said Iran and the Arab world had historic relations that could not be ignored, with a sizeable Iranian minority in Gulf Arab countries. He said the United Arab Emirates should seek international arbitration to solve a dispute with Iran over three Gulf islands which Tehran controls but are claimed by the UAE. "Solve the issue peacefully," Gaddafi said. "Are these islands the only thing we have lost? Arab dignity, Arab future and past have been lost." President George W. Bush tried to shore up Gulf Arab support against Iran during a visit to the region in January. But Gulf states, which share a strategic waterway crucial to world oil flows with Iran, expressed little public backing to Bush's call. Gaddafi said it was important for the summit to convene in Damascus despite a regional rift, adding that Arabs have failed to produce a meaningful union after decades of meetings. "We are at crossroads. The Turks have their country, the Persians have Iran, the Arabs cannot prove their worth because they do not have a (unified) Arab state." Without a union, Gaddafi predicted Arab countries to turn into "spheres of influence, protectorates ..." "The only thing that gathers us is this (summit) hall."

Medical researchers contend that no disease ever identified has been completely eradicated. (0) commentsThe attachment of the human skin to muscles is what causes dimples. No one seems to know why people blush. In 1972, a group of scientists reported that you could cure the common cold by freezing the big toe. The number one cause of blindness in the United States is diabetes. The adult human heart weighs about ten ounces. People who laugh a lot are much healthier than those who don't. Dr. Lee Berk at the Loma Linda School of Public Health in California found that laughing lowers levels of stress hormones, and strengthens the immune system. Six-year-olds have it best - they laugh an average of 300 times a day. Adults only laugh 15 to 100 times a day. People who have a tough time handling the stress of money woes are twice as likely to develop severe gum disease, a new study finds. Between 25% to 33% of the population sneeze when they are exposed to light. Of the 206 bones in the average human adult's body, 106 are in the hands and feet. (54 in the hands and 52 in the feet) In 1815 French chemist Michael Eugene Chevreul realized the first link between diabetes and sugar metabolism when he discovered that the urine of a diabetic was identical to grape sugar. Approximately 16 Canadians have their appendices removed, when not required, every day. Sumerians (from 5000 BC) thought that the liver made blood and the heart was the center of thought. Men have more blood than women. Men have 1.5 gallons for men versus 0.875 gallons for women. The first Band-Aid Brand Adhesive Bandages were three inches wide and eighteen inches long. You made your own bandage by cutting off as much as you needed. The human brain stops growing at the age of 18. In 1977, a 13 year old child found a tooth growing out of his left foot. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 18 million courses of antibiotics are prescribed for the common cold in the United States per year. Research shows that colds are caused by viruses. 50 million unnecessary antibiotics are prescribed for viral respiratory infections. It takes an interaction of 72 different muscles to produce human speech. The first known heart medicine was discovered in an English garden. In 1799, physician John Ferriar noted the effect of dried leaves of the common plant, digitalis purpurea, on heart action. Still used in heart medications, digitalis slows the pulse and increases the force of heart contractions and the amount of blood pumped per heartbeat. Blood is red only in the arteries after it has left the heart and is full of oxygen. Blood is a purplish, blue color in the veins as it returns to the heart, thanks to having picked up carbon dioxide and other wastes from the body's cells. In fact, your blood is red throughout only half your body. When cut, of course, the blood always appears red because it is instantly exposed to oxygen outside the body. Contrary to popular belief, hemophiliacs do NOT bleed to death from minor cuts. This rare disease, which affects only males (it is carried by females, but they don't exhibit symptoms), involves an impairment in blood clotting—not an absolute inability to clot. Hemophiliacs today may take clotting serums and often lead fairly normal lives. During his or her lifetime, the average human will grow 590 miles of hair. The average Human bladder can hold 13 ounces of liquid. You lose enough dead skin cells in your lifetime to fill eight five-pound flour bags. Your thumb is the same length as your nose. The storage capacity of human brain exceeds 4 Terrabytes. The Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland was a symbolic character for the hat makers in towns of the late 1800's. The large felt hats of the day had supports made out of lead. The lead caused an organic form of psychosis (brain damage) to develop in the hat makers causing them to be declared crazy. Although your system cannot digest gum like other foods, it won't be stuck inside of you forever. It comes out with other waste your body can't use. The substance that human blood resembles most closely in terms of chemical composition is sea water.

Assalamualeykum.... (0) comments![]() Yet again, 10th of Muharram arrives. By the way, Happy New Year...1429H! I can't stress enough how important it is to fast on this blessed day. I've made a 2 part post on Ashura last year... Recap Part 1 Recap Part 2 I will try to write something different this time. Look at the events on this faithful day... Nabi Adam was forgiven by Allah, Nabi Musa and his people escaped from pharoah, Nabi Ayub was cured from his ailment, Nabi Yusuf met his dad after years of separation...etc These all show one thing, Love and Mercy of Allah to His subjects. This Love, though free, didn't come easy... all these Noble Prophets went through a great deal before achieving the goal.Nabi Adam wept for years begging forgiveness from Allah, Nabi Musa went through alot of negotiations with pharoah before he fled with the Banu Israel, Nabi Ayub accepted his mishaps with great patience, Nabi Yusuf stayed steadfast and remained in jail for years...and the list goes on and on. Whats my point here?...Simply...to archieve a greatness, we must strife hard. The greater the struggle, the greater the achievement Imaam Hussayn strived with his life, for the betterment of Muslims. He fought tyranny, and the transgressor of God's laws and His Messanger's sunnahs. He paid the ultimate price for his efforts, his life. It was not a lost, in fact it was a success in disguise. His marthyrdom is an inspiration for all Muslims... to not be subjugated by unjust tyrants, but rather to fight and uphold ones dignity and rights, and to fight for God- no matter what price. The legacy of Imaam Hussayn is fondly upheld by Muslims universally... only second to the legacy of his grandfather, Rasulullah s.a.w. Allahuma Salli ala Sayidina Muhammadin wa ala ahle wa sahbiheen ajmaeen.Ameen PS: I am not a Shi'a and I believe Shi'a and Sunni are just political/tribal divide which eventually grew into sects. We are ONE. Ya Allah Madad! .

Salaamualeykum, (0) commentsThe assassination of Benazir Bhutto. It was on the news 24-7. Now, here's my thoughts about this whole Pakistani political Whirlpool. ![]() Firstly, deepest condolences to her family, friends and aides. I've to say that I was deeply shocked and somewhat saddened by the assassination. However, there is no excuse what so ever from the side of her supporters, and opportunists, to go around the country rioting and turning Pakistan into post-war Hiroshima. Benazir Bhutto (BB) wont come to life even if you burnt down the entire world. Here's my view on BB.With ALL due respects of cause. While BB's father, Zulfikr Ali Bhutto did some astonishing things for Pakistan...initiating the nuclear program in Pakistan is most definitely the crown of them all, he was hanged later in 1979 after being charged of murder. His legacy , other then the mentioned nuclear program, is also being a notoriously corrupt leader. BB seems to follow suit. She has been charged with multiple corruption charges. Two times in office and two times being dismissed from office by the President for corruption.Thats too much. There are on going fact finding investigations of these corruption allegations against her and her husband, Asif Ali Zardari in Pakistan and even other countries like Switzerland. Asif is, in fact, called Mr.10 Percent in Pakistan ...mainly due to his granting of big project contracts to companies, with him getting 10% commission. Perhaps BB wont be so corrupt had it not been for her husband. Murder charges also trail BB and her husband. Ironically, it was the murder of her brother,Murtaza Bhutto, in 1996. Murtaza was against Asif's influence on BB and accused them of corruption. This was during the Premiership of BB. If you are not South Asian, then you might not know that it spelt disaster to criticise the Prime Minister. If the circumstances of his assassination were not suspicious enough, then the Court's finding that it has to be approved by the higher levels of the government definitely gives creditability to the suspicion. (Reada bout Murtaza's Murder) Of course, like most politician, BB had her own long list of unfulfilled promises to the people of Pakistan. While I do respect her for being brave, I believe she invited her own death. After the bombing at her arrival rally that killed 130 people, she should have avoided public rallies...not for her sake...rather, at least for the sake of her supporters who are always the victim. Had she really cared for the people, she should have put their lives in front of her. Mass rallies are not important at all, all thats important is that you fulfill your promises. In the end, I have to say, despite my sorrow for her family and those who love her, I'm glad she wont be the PM. She would have torn Pakistan into pieces and auctioned them off to US, especially with the post-911 US foreign policy, her government would be puppets of her American friends. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, her son , is now the co-chairman of Pakistan People's Party, sharing the post with his father. This is extremely an emotional move by the party committee. Bilawal has not even joined the adult's world, nor has he finished his education, nor is he accustomed to being in Pakistan (having spent long time abroad). If the election is simply because he's a Bhutto, then the party should be renamed Bhutto Party. Again I stress, these are my opinions...delivered with ALL due respect to everyone. I'm glad the elections are pushed back, it should be pushed back much further, any elections now will result in unfair advantage to PPP with sympathy votes. People are too emotional at the time being. Benazir Bhutto, may Allah have mercy on your soul.Only He know the truth about you,and only He can decide your fate. ALLAH MADAD! God Bless Pakistan.
